This site has a very upscale classy layout. there is a simple drop down nave bar at the top with the name big and centered followed by the image of the product and history. the background is composed of imagery as well as a weathered texture also it as nice sudal design elements of their logo in soft white. this same logo is a nice separation from each section of the page as you scroll down. the color scheme matches threw out the page that brings it all together

this website is from Bellroy which sells wallets. The thing I like most about this site is the simple icons they use thru out that goes well with their owl logo. all of them are simple lined which also matches the text on the pages whether it is white or grey. when having the images of the wallet They have a very nice effect og them sitting on the background with the outdoor elements shown with it weather it be sand snow or water.
I think the mane reson I picked this website is because I am a huge fan of using red and blag as the two main colors in my work I feel that they work so well together. This is a website for Improving products and marketing. this site has a simple 3 menu text bar at the center and a drop down menu bar on the right to go to the pages you need that is on each page with their logo on the top left
This is just a set of pre made vector icons that can be used on websites. Even tho most people like to make their own it is nice to know that there are so many pre made ones out there that you can chose from and just change color ext as needed for your project which really helps if you are doing a web design and are crunched on time.
This is another Bike company with a great website. there is a very nice desert image that puts you in the mood of being outdoors with type placed on top not to disturb that image. I really enjoy the hexagon shapes as the main Nav buttons with an image that correlates to each category. It is also nice how these buttons fit nicly together and almost gives you the feel of them being little sand particles zoomed in really close to go with the theme of the site.
This is a screen shot from Toyota's website. I have always been a fan of car advertisement and their websites are just as good. I really enjoy all the colors and the transition of the night sense to day it works very well as well as the type that is positioned thru out. All of the headline titles are showing threw the landscape like DESIGN in the skyline and Space how it is faded out into outer space.
This website is for Leica Cameras. This website is in grayscale thru out with a couple color images which i think works great to show they are an older established company that started when you could only take b/w photos but also has the images in color to fit with the modern selection of cameras. I really enjoy the red tabs on each page that ties it all together. It also has a very nice feature with the red tabs to get more information about the parts of the camera and how that is displayed.
This is a website for a brand of bikes. What really struck my eyes from the start was the zig zag that goes down the page that leads your eyes from one section to the next showig you the different styles. It also gives you the feeling of being on the edge and adventures just as if you were riding their product. the white space gives a great place to add text but also breakes up the sections better.

http://www.idbbank.com/
This is a website I found for IDB Bank. I found the Landing page very unique and not like other bank's websites. On this site instead of having a drop down box to pick if it is personal or business this one has two images placed together that represent both as seen on the first Picture above. but when you click on the side you want the page changes for one or the other as seen in the other two photos. even though it is type on a image it is placed in reasonable locations that still keeps it readable.
http://atlasagency.com.au/
Atlas is a digital agency that works with high named company's. you can see a list of them in the Second Picture above. I find the color scheme very nice and clean all gray scale with a few touches of oranges and yellow placed around. one of the things I liked most about this is the last page or the contact page. They used a satellite image that was grey scaled buy continued to use the orange and yellow color scheme to point out there location with the address which i thing is a simple but yet great touch
http://www.thehouseofeyewear.com/
The above images are taken from thehouseofeyeware.com. As you can see it is a website for selling high end sunglasses. this site uses a very open feel and a lot of white space through out each page. this gives a very elligent and straight to the point. if you visit the site the images have a slight move as they come onto the page before becoming static and the whole page is responsive.

I am doing my second website on a BBQ restaurant and i found this website during my research. I am a big fan of black and red in my work and this gave me some ideas on how to incorporate that into my website designs. I found the navigation of this layout to be very user friendly and able to get to what you want right away from any page. Even though there is a good amount of information on the page it is still calm and appealing.

This is a website for Vancouver intended to be used on a smart phone or tablet that I found in How magazine. the images show the town of Vancouver in the background on both pages one at the beach and the other of the city with mountains in the background that describes the city without having to have any words. On the first page it does have a blue pop up that shows you with a very simple image how to navigate through the site. Even though putting type on images dose not work in most cases here they place the type in the sky where nothing is going on to make it readable. The second page is filled with clean icons to get more information set up in a grid. Sense this is a vacation destination I do like how they incorporated the weather as a side bar on the right side.
I found this website page on Behance. This is a website for Vulcan, and I love how simple it is yet it is still very sleek and appealing to the eyes. I personally am a big fan of not having multiply colors and this is all done with black and shades of grey. With that I find it great that the color of the car pictured is also the same color scheme as the rest of the website, leaving the only color on the whole page just the small hint of redish copper of the seats. The white type is very readable as well.
